Petr Milev and Vlastimil Ourada, Group Chief Financial Officer, will join the Company’s three-member Board of Directors. They will both relinquish their positions on the Company’s Supervisory Board. Pavel Vana will step down from the Board of Directors of the Company and will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Litostroj Group, an affiliate of ENERGO-PRO a.s. engaged in the design and manufacture of hydropower equipment.
Petr Tesar will step down from the Board of Directors of the Company and will join the two-member Supervisory Board. Christian Blatchford will join the Supervisory Board of the Company as Chairman.
Jaromir Tesar commented on the changes: “ENERGO-PRO has come a long way since its establishment in 1994. The Group has grown to become a major player in the electricity sector in Bulgaria and Georgia. Last year, we successfully completed the construction of two large hydropower projects in Turkey, which will become part of ENERGO-PRO in 2022 at the latest. And we have every reason to be optimistic for the future, validating our focus on clean energy. As the Group moves into the next stage of its development, I have decided to reflect this also in management and board structures. While I plan to take a less active role in the day-to-day management of the Group, I will continue to focus my energy on providing strategic guidance to the Company to facilitate its continued success. I have worked with Petr Milev for many years now and I am convinced that he is the best person to lead the Group going forward.”
Petr Milev said: “It is an honor to lead ENERGO-PRO Group in its next stage of development. The Company has been very successful in developing its operations in Bulgaria. Our business in Georgia is also very promising, as the country continues to implement energy sector reforms. We are most excited about the prospect of the upcoming addition of the Alpaslan 2 and Karakurt projects in Turkey into ENERGO-PRO’s generation portfolio, which will increase the scale and stability of our business for many years to come. The Group has excellent assets and many talented individuals, and I look forward to contributing to the development of the Company and our people.”
